The Southdove Training Services Inc. is pleased to welcome the Reverend Dr. Joseph Ajang Atem Malek in the role as a Program Administrator for the seminary and training centre in Juba, South Sudan.
Rev. Joseph is an instructor in the Episcopal University in Juba, South Sudan. He is currently living and working in Juba and has professional and academic credentials and accessibility to the infrastructures, such as the internet and computer, to facilitate his work with great ease. He has been serving the community with great integrity. The Southdove Training Services will benefit from Joseph’s extensive experience and expertise in the management of the Centre and to:
(a) act as the liaison between the directors, project funders and owners of Bishop Nathaniel Garang Seminary and Training Centre in Canada and the contractors in South Sudan;
(b) facilitate the transfer of land title deed from the current registrant, the family of Peter Deng Arok, to the Bishop Nathaniel Garang Seminary and Training Centre, after the Bishop Nathaniel Garang Seminary and Training Centre is registered in South Sudan;
(c) coordinate the registration of the Bishop Nathaniel Garang Seminary and Training Centre as a national organization in Juba, South Sudan;
(d) manage the affairs of the Bishop Nathaniel Garang Seminary and Training Centre in collaboration with the Board of Directors of the Southdove Training Services Inc;
(e) supervise the construction of the Bishop Nathaniel Garang Seminary and Training Centre through the contractor, the construction company that Mr. Peter Deng Arok currently utilizes for the building of his personal houses in South Sudan;
(f) reassess and monitor the construction of the seminary and training centre and discuss with the Board of Directors the allocated budget to align with the budget in blueprint;
(g) coordinate the funding activities in Juba in collaboration with the Board of Directors in Canada and South Sudan, and when the project expands to USA and Australia.
(h) report to the Directors of Southdove Training Services Inc. and funding partners in Canada, particularly the College of Emmanuel and St. Chad in Saskatoon and the Anglican Diocese of Qu’Appelle in Regina, when the partners support the Seminary;
(i) maintain sound internal governance and accountability procedures and work with the church, government and community to help in the adoption of measures to detect and mitigate the associated risks to resources, personnel and beneficiaries,
(j) meet monthly with the Board of Directors of the Southdove Training Services Inc. to review the internal accountability measures and operations of the Seminary;
(k) keep the comprehensive reports of the organization in his safety box at the University of Juba and send the scanned copies to the Southdove Training Services in Canada.
